Our pupils have learnt about Europe and the European Union as a political entity: all the 28 member states as well as the countries which are in Europe but not part of the EU; and its identification on a political map. They have also learnt about the EU's formation, history, principles, objectives, symbols and institutions. At the end of the unit I have asked my students to make a diagram, containing this information: role and functions of these institutions and their location in Europe. They have to use CmapTools. I really liked this activity because I spent a lot of time with my best friend Naiara and I learned a lot about Europe and the European Union.
